To make a dream come true i had to be involved in the community myself. i also visited Freedom Park together with National Heritage Council and other Traditional Leaders on Nelson Mandela Day 2009. We need to uplift all these areas that has not been mapped as historical sites. There are schools that are museums as well as Marapyane history of Our Late Tutu Mankhlante family Deputy President of the ANC also grew up in this area. My vision was to to develop an area for University Mpumalanga Northern Cape Mmahlabane Trust Richtersveld. i learnt our whole country as child and adult i knew about poverty, jobless people homeless uneducated poor neglected areas in our country but realised i must to something about it. i became a community builder before my husbands death and received his as well as my late father’s blessings. i knew i must motivate people to think like me and stay focused on my vision to have success. i would want you to assist me more also to plant indegiousness herbal products to promote for Doctor and Nurses to use i had training at Turningpoint Counsellors Netwerk and it was here where i found out how to become a better community builder as a counsellor as we work with people that has gone through so much but do not always know how to make a difference to help themselves. i need your support so i can make more and more success to motivate these people to become better skilled and go to a University or a training centre near their home in a area of historical background. i have many knowledge to offer in job creation Thanks for your anticipation Angela van der Merwe 0795764310 berkimbrightgirls@msn.com

Community Responsiveness Programmes appreciates the objective of the National Heritage Council to also making it possible for the formally dispossessed and disadvantaged individuals,communities and institutions conduct research and produce knowledge on any matter “… of heritage that has not been sufficiently and accurately documented.” Much of the history of, and the indegenous people of the Mopani District Municipality in Limpopo Province of the Republic of South Africa and their heritage is still outstanding and that there is a need for the histrory to be researched and put on record for purposes of the dissemination and promotion of the indigenous heritage knowledge system.

We are Ratlou Local Municipality that has facilitated the application for Reakgona Youth Tourism and Recreationa Project, an NPO, based in Kraaipan Village (site of 1899 Anglo-Boer War during Siege of Mafikeng).

The municipality has been implementing the construction of Kraaipan Museum project on behalf of the above-mentioned Rural Youth Project.

We hope and trust that the NHC consistently invite these young poeple to heritage events so that their interests gets sustained to ultimately benefit the wqhole of the youth population in our municipality.
